Prototype is of course free, but you can donate what ever you want if you want to support  me creating and bringing this game finished!

***Update 29.6.2021***

Getting very near to the first real beta release.

Game now has official name:"Project Death Wish" and crossplatform multiplayer with voice chat and lobbies, private and open global rooms is tested thoughly. Hitting the 72fps mark on Oculus Quest 2 is now achieved and working on setup for Quest 1. Stay tuned, as the new build from the video is going live any time now!

***UPDATE 9.2.2021***
On itch.io download, there's now also Windows 64bit version of the game available. It should be compatible with most headsets, virtual desktop and oculus link. Only Oculus controllers can currently open menu inside game session. Windows version can be run even without headset, but the functionality is a bit meh... Please report bugs found!

Project now has some kind of main menu, which enables player to choose single player, or to try out the multiplayer. Multiplayer currently works between PC and Quest mobile platforms and player can choose from three options in multiplayer:
-Quickplay = try to join already running game with most players on server (max 4 players per server). If no free server is found, this will create Host game session after approx 1 minute.
-Join Lobby = get a list of currently open games with amount of players inside. Click the one you want to join and wait a few seconds for connection.
-Host game = start hosting new game session, where other players can join

There's no option yet to set a name for yourself, or your game server, but these will later be added. Possibly also option to have a "closed" game, so only your friends will find it.

!!!Important!!!
Currently there's few guns given to players at start of the game with 10000 bullets each. There will be 5 waves of zombies spawn and you can kill them, but zombies can't yet harm you. After that, the game won't advance at this prototype stage. Zombies are prototypes, unfinished, not with final voices and animations, but working prototypes. Map might have places, where you can fall off (bugs) and I hope you to report bugs when you find some. It will help to finish the game and hone off the issues. Zombies will drop money, but currently it can't be used to anything. Functionality will come later.

Please consider this stage of the game as prototype of crossplay multiplayer functionality and I'm gathering info about the issues and bugs to fix and get those out of the game.

!!!MORE IMPORTANT!!!

Game is aimed for both PC and Mobile VR and HIGH graphics settings on all different graphics quality settings are too high for Quest 1. Please consider to first change the "RESOLUTION QUALITY" to LOW to get the Quest 1 to run smooth. If you further want to get the game to run more smooth, next setting to fiddle around should be "TEXTURE QUALITY".

***UPDATE 22.1.2021***

Added options menu, that's accessible with left motion controller menu button.

Please comment about the graphics quality and settings you use to get the example level to run smooth on Oculus Quest. I would advice to  set at least "RESOLUTION QUALITY" or "TEXTURE QUALITY" on low to get smooth frame rate.

I'm currently balancing the quality and asking for feedback about on which settings you feel comfortable playing with.

This is a short demo and beta test at the same time. Firstly to get people to test how it works and runs on different devices and secondly to get comments to improve the handling.

Working with some guns. Guns currently have realistic recoil, snap to hand without need to keep gripping, automatic reload, two hand holding with stock stabilization when keeping the gun stock near body.

I think that the realism has began to be too highly used in vr games, as I personally hate it that I need to change the ammo clip and reload the guns ect. It takes the concentration away from the main thing in the game, slaying the enemies and other gameplay elements. So please comment how you like the experience with the guns and how is it running on your device!

This build is compatible with Oculus Quest and Quest 2

Looks rockn will try!

Looks promising. Needs some work on optimization though. This tool came in really handy for me in my project.  After you download the Metrics Tool there is an APK hidden in a sub folder you can side load to the Quest. It will help you figure out places that are running well and places that are not. It will also show you if its CPU limiting or GPU.. or memory but I don't think memory is much of an issue in your project. I am a Unity developer so I do not have much experience with UE but am more than happy to share the steps I took to get the quality and performance I achieved in my project. If you do decide to check it out note that I designed it with a Quest 2 and it runs well on that (most always at 72 fps) but as I am pushing the Quest 2 to its limits the Quest 1 does not like it to much ( 40's fps) XD

Thank you! I'll try to take some time tonight to test out your project! Seems fun in the demonstration video :)

Thank you for the tip. OVR Metrics tool is on common use already and also the RenderDoc.

Letting off some steams.

Destruction most likely will be too much for quest to handle in final stage of the game

I just tried this game, it has great visuals. I love the feel of the guns and the particle effects look great. This game has great potential and I can't wait to see how it will turn out.

Thank you! I've just released an update to showcase and test out the graphics and enemies. No gameplay components yet, but you can Wonder around and test how it runs on Quest.
